Frequently asked questions:
What is this site all about anyway?
IgnoreAll.com is a site where you can find a little bookmarklet I made for ignoring all of your facebook application requests with one click.
Cool, how does it work?
You just click the bookmark you saved while viewing your facebook application requests and it ignores them all at once.
Just application requests or every request?
For now only application requests are ignored with it. Friend requests, group invitations, "attending" invitations are left alone.
How do I install it?
It requires no installation, the only thing it requires is that you have a browser that can save bookmarks and I don't know if I've ever seen one without that option.
Does it work in all browsers?
It has been tested in Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2, Firefox 3 beta 2 and in those browsers it works perfectly...
I sense a "however" coming...
...however... Opera doesn't allow javascript to be executed from a bookmark, Safari just doesn't like javascript altogether and there have been reports of it not working in FF 3 beta2 on Linux :) for some reason.
Will it work if I have javascript turned off?
It most certainly will not :) . Then again, neither will facebook :) (their ignore button atleast).
Will it work for ever and ever?
I don't know, it depends on facebook, if they decide to change something vital to this bookmarklet in the requests page it will stop working.
Oh no! How will I ignore my application requests then?
I promise I'll do everything I can to make it work again, but you'll probably need to save the new version of the bookmark from the site when I fix it.
What? Why don't you have an automatic update or something?
The thing is, it's not a problem to make a form of automatic updating for bookmarklets, but then it cannot be transparent. That way I could (not that I ever would, but I could :) ) simply insert some malicious code into the script file and for instance snatch your facebook personal information.
How do I know you're not doing something evil now?
Just by looking at the code of the bookmarklet anyone with any programming experience can conclude that there is nothing going on "behind the scene" that can damage or collect any information.
Hmm, yeah, I'd rather be safe, but what if it stops working or something?
The working newest version will always be on the front page of the site. Simply save the new one into your bookmarks.
How do I remove it if I don't want it anymore?
It's just a bookmark, simply delete it from your bookmarks.
Can I hold you responsible for I have lost 3467 application requests because of your bookmark!
No. I have nothing to do with your applications, invites, requests and such. You are using it at your own risk.
Why do you have ads on your site?
A guy can't live on ignoring facebook applications alone.
I have a sudden urge to shower you with donations in the form of donuts, fresh tomatoes, sunflower seeds or cash even! How can I contact you?
This is in no way associated with Facebook inc.
This can stop working at any time if facebook changes anything, I'll make a new one but I'm just saying :).
I am not in any way responsible for any damage or lost invitations :)
